Memory Care provides a memory method called the Ashby Memory Method (AMM) in the Sydney and Melbourne regions. The program is an in-home cognitive therapy to people living with a diagnosis of dementia.
The Ashby Memory Method is a program developed by the Alzheimer’s Innovation Institute in Canada. The program is a structured set of interactive thinking exercises and activities, which can help the person living with a diagnosis of dementia, adapt better and for longer to emerging symptoms of the disease.
The AMM program structure uses a mix of person centred activities with individualised “pen and paper booklet” formatted cognitive exercises. Our large print individualised booklet exercises are created specifically for our program and incorporate proprietary neuro-psychology based program principals, which are facilitated with the participant using our successful dyadic program delivery method.
